Sydney Harbour Bridge

The iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge was completed in 1932 and has over the years become a world renown symbol for not only Sydney but also Australia. The bridge itself is over 1 kilometre long and the main arch over the Sydney Harbour is 503 metres. Travellers can take a scenic walk over the bridge from the the Sydney city centre to North Sydney and watch the ships, boats and yatchs as they pass beneath you.

Other more adventurous travellers may want to attempt the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb, where you will take guided to the top of the bridge (which is 134 metres above sea level) via either one of 3 different routes. From the top of the bridge you will get some truly amazing 260 degree panoramic views of Sydney and its magnificent harbour.

Another more sedate way to take in the full majesty of the Sydney Harbour Bridge is to take some beautiful photographs from one of the many popular vantage points. Some of the best places from which to take a photograph of the bridge from are either Circular Quay near the Sydney Opera House or from McMahons Point on the North Shore of Sydney.

What an amazing sight to firstly see the Sydney Harbour Bridge lit up as we fly into Sydney at night time and then to see it again the next day from Circular Quay. We got some great photos of the family from here and also enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in one of the cafe/bars along the waterfront.
