The Sealife Sydney Aquarium is a popular and easy to get to family tourist attraction in Sydney. It is conveniently situated around the waters of Darling Harbour on the western side of the Sydney CBD. To get to the Sydney Aquarium you can either walk from the Town Hall or Wynyard train stations, catch a ferry to Darling Harbour or take the monorail and get off at the Darling Park stop.
At the Sydney Aquarium you can see all sorts of different types of marine life, from the reclusive Australian platypus and cute little penguins right through to large sharks and the multitude of fish that live in the Great Barrier Reef. Young kids can get a hands on experience at the Discovery Rockpool whilst the older kids will really enjoy watching the sharks being fed. There are also plenty of other fish and marine species to admire at the Sea Life Sydney Aquarium including dugongs, sting rays, jelly fish, turtles, sea horses and clown fish.
