An age-old favourite attraction in Melbourne that is popular with overseas and interstate tourists as well as locals is Luna Park. This iconic amusement park with an entrance through the clown's mouth is ideally located on the corner of The Esplanade and Cavell Street in the heart of cosmopolitan St Kilda.
You can spend the whole day at Luna Park because it features a huge variety of amusements and rides that cater to people of all ages. Some of these rides include the Sky Rider, G-Force, Pharaoh's Curse, Spider, Ghost Train and Metropolis. There are also lots of other exciting things to do such as go in the Mirror Maze, go on the Carousel, ride the Dodgem Cars and Scenic Railway.
Alternatively after you spent some time at Luna Park you can have a picnic on the lawn area in front of amusement park, take a wander past the boutiques, cafes, restaurants and cake shops on nearby Acland Street or walk over the foot bridge to St Kilda beach.
