If you or any one of your travelling companions love chocolate then no visit to Hobart would be complete without a trip to the Cadbury Chocolate Factory. You will find the Cadbury visitor centre located on the banks of the derwent River in the northern Hobart suburb of Claremont, which is a leisurely 20 minute drive north of the city centre along the Brooker Highway. The Cadbury Chocolate Factory and visitor centre is only open on normal business days, is wheelchair friendly and has lots of free car parking available for your convenience.
Whilst you are visiting the Cadbury Chocolate Factory you will be able to watch the film presentation on how Cadbury's finest chocolates are made, see various chocolates being moulded and enjoy tasting the raw materials. There is no access to manufacturing areas of factory, however you will still be able to understand the process of how Cadbury makes its chocolates and also be able to take advantage of the special chocolate prices that are available at the retail shop.
