Visit the Newcastle Earthquake Memorial

On the 28th of December in 1989 Newcastle was the hit by one of the worst earthquakes that Australia has ever seen. It wasn't large by world standards but it still managed to damages lots of buildings and killed 13 people. The Regional Museum in Newcastle has a memorial exhibition of photographs, artifcats and broken objects that brings this tragedy back to life.
