Taste the Local Ligurian Honey

Whilst you are staying on Kangaroo Island you must taste the local organic ligurian honey. This is because the honey produced on the island comes from a pure breed of Ligurian bees that first arrived on the island in 1881 and is the last remaining pure stock of this insect in the world. This is why Kangaroo Island has been declared as a bee sanctuary and you are forbidden bringing honey or bees over to the island on the ferry or plane.
