Go and See the Australian Parliament

A popular thing to do whilst you are staying in Canberra is to visit the Parliament House of Australia. Situated on top of capital hill the Australian Parliament is open daily, free to enter and contains portraits of all the past prime ministers. There are guided tours of the building and if you visit during certain days you can even sit in on sessions of the upper and lower houses of parliament.
